My New Years Resolutions Progress

Hello!

Its Been awhile since I've posted anything on here, and I wanted to sit down and talk about how life is going and some of the new things happening.
I've been doing great, comparably to what life could be. I've been happy and making a lot of life changes. So Lets break it down and start from the beginning.

New Year 2018!
I've made many resolutions for the 2018 year. Some are as follows
- Help my husband out with his youtube channel
- Get healthier
- Move more
- Find a hobby and stick to it
- Make memories
- Go on a no buy

A lot of these things I've done and have been doing since the beginning of the year, others not so much. I've been trying to help my husband work on his youtube channel
and take off some of the work load. But there are days where I just don't want to do anything. I have a baby sitting job now, and watching 2 little rascals gets tiring sometimes.
But the thing is, Is I've actually helped and done a lot for his channel. It is growing at a decent speed, and its fun to make friends and talk to some of the people on there.

I've been eating Healthier, and that's a HUGE step for me. Before I would just eat and eat until I felt like I was going to explode. Now I'm at the point that I eat just enough to know that I ate. Its been a journey, that's for sure. Not eating every piece of chocolate I can find is hard some days. Not going after that piece of cake at the birthday party is also very hard. But I'm doing it. There's even been times that I want a vanilla shake, and I drink maybe half of it, and then i convince my 4 year old that she needs it, so I don't have to finish it. A few of my FAVORITE things to eat and drink right now are as follows

- Pistashios
- V8 energy drinks ( DIET)
- Fruit rolls ups - ( They are actually really low is carbs lol)
- Coffee ( yes with creamer only)
- birds eye super foods blends
- Salami ( on occasion )

That is my main food diet, unless we decide to eat out and then I work to find the healthiest most appealing thing to eat. I've switched from regular pasta, to whole grain pasta, Even though my husband hates it. But its "healthier" right. As for moving more, I have a step goal of 5k, and some days its hard to hit that mark, but its also winter and who really wants to go outside and walk a couple laps around the neighborhood?! I sure don't haha.  But most days I get pretty close. I've Joined a gym to help get to 10k steps, and that's been pretty lackluster. I go and I feel happy once I leave, but the whole process of wanting to go back is just a drag. I have a friend I like to go with, but there are days where she just doesn't want to go, and that's okay. Also life just gets in the way. I've tried to make it a goal to go at least once a week, and the entire month of February had just been so busy. But as long as I go at least 3 times a month, I'll be happy. As far as my weight goes, its an utter mess. My start Weight at from January 1st is 195 lb.... yes you read that number right. But now as of February 25th I'm at 187 lbs. so I've lost weight, but it fluctuates so much that I'm not sure what more I can do. I've gone to the doctor to see if my thyroid is all out of wack and its not, and I've gotten to the point that I've debated getting a tummy tuck, or liposuction to remove every ounce of belly fat that I have. That wont ever happen because we just don't make enough for that kind of surgery.  But I'm hoping by the next 2 months that I'm down to the 170s. because then id only be 30 lbs away from my dream weight.

Going on a NO BUY.... that one has been rough... I made it about 6 months with out buying makeup or anything we don't REALLY need. I started this whole no buy thing back in about August or September of last year, and I have to say that I've done a pretty good job at not buying stuff. Then there were things that I wanted and that broke about mid February. I'm still doing a pretty good job compared to what I was doing last year, so that's a HUGE plus. Since we got taxes back, its now time to buckle down and pay off everything that can actually be paid off and get our life right, because later on in the year I really want to go on a vacation to Florida and spend time away from Ohio for a little bit.

I haven't really found a hobby yet, but I'm working on it. There just isn't much that I find fun and entertaining. This year has been pretty great for me this far, and I'm happy to say that its going to be a more positive year. Not just for me but for my entire family.

What are some things you've been working on this year? What are you hoping for to change this year compared to last? Id love to know!

Until next time
Valerie
